While trying to keep its position as a top 20 crypto worldwide, VeChain is now working with the Shanghai government to find a solution to eliminate counterfeit vaccines that are proliferating all across China.
Just last month, China’s drug regulators ordered Changchun Changsheng Life Sciences Limited to discontinue all vaccine work over its purported illegal use of rabies vaccine for human use.
There are still grave concerns that many other companies are issuing counterfeit vaccines and these are also being used on children.
VeChain announced it has partnered with DNV GL, who is already a stake owner of VeChain, to help certify all the products that flow through its associated hospitals and pharma companies.
These updates are expected to be issued first at:
- Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital
- Children’s Hospital of Shanghai
- American-Sino OB/GYN/Pediatrics Services
- Shanghai Redleaf International Women’s and Children’s Hospital
- Shanghai Jiaotong University Renji Hospital
- Shanghai Pharma
VeChain indicated its plans for the venture to assist almost 30 million people right away:
In combination with DNV GL, we introduce our Drug and Vaccine Traceability Solution. It will be deployed in Shanghai, serving 30 million individuals, and will soon be rolled out across China. It will be showcased at the China International Import Expo.https://t.co/WOFOXYUJ9X

While these plans will only benefit China residents now, the companies indicated these “are only the initial components of a much larger plan.”
