Earlier this week, expanse co-founder Christopher Franko claimed to have received a listing quote from Binance for 400 BTC. Binance CEO Chanpeng Zhao denied his team sent the offer, threw shade at Franko and his token, then swiftly blocked him.

Earlier this week, Expanse ($EXP) co-founder Christopher Franko tweeted out that he had just received a listing quote on the #1 cryptocurrency exchange Binance for 400 BTC, or a cool $2.6 million USD at press time.

The next day, Binance CEO Chanpeng Zhao took to Twitter and denied his team sent any such email, claiming it was spoofed and throwing a healthy dose of shade along the way.

CZ even went so far as to say he’d be willing to help anyone who “fell for the scam.”

Franko fired back, sharing a screengrab of the header…

And, in subsequent Tweets, the Expanse co-founder noted that Binance staff had used the oyyq@binance.com email in the past, and that there were “multiple correspondence in a row,” which, according to Franko, “isnt easy from a spoof.”

For his part, Franko seems to understand the value a Binance listing can offer a token.

However, he thinks that Binance should, assuming they do actually charge a 400 BTC listing fee, “own it” instead of denying the email came from them (which it may or may not have). Here’s that tweet…

Then, based on a suggestion from a follower — and perhaps realizing his chances of ever seeing Expanse on Binance were rapidly fading — Franko made this last-ditch effort to clear the air and try to get an actual listing offer from CEO Zhao…

CZ wasted no time firing back, effectively calling Expanse a shitcoin, suggesting that people should focus more on their own projects than on Binance listing fees, and ultimately accused Franko / Expanse of shilling on CZ’s feed.

Grab your popcorn, here’s the thread:

As with all good Twitter feuds, this one ended in a block, with CZ being the blocker and Franko being the blocked, to which Franko had this to say:

Hard to say if there’s any winner in this beef, but it’s a pretty safe bet you won’t be seeing EXP listed on Binance any time soon.
